Newcastle and Gateshead are connected by no fewer than seven bridges within two miles, one of the most concentrated collection of bridges anywhere in the world.

These recordings, collected over a period of months in 2016, present the environmental ambience on one channel and the internal, hidden resonances on the other.

Interactive sound installations of these pieces have been exhibited at ‘Scaling The Heights’, as part of the 'Being Human Festival (2016) and the The Long Gallery, Newcastle University (2017)

David is an underwater sound recordist, composer, researcher, and music technician.

When not listening to his pond he plays bass for internationally renowned Folk groups 'Monster Ceilidh Band' and 'Jez Lowe and the Bad Pennies'.

He lives in Durham and is a PhD candidate at Newcastle University.
