about

Three years ago I made an album to coincide with The Wildlife Trust's '30 Days Wild' initiative. This was amidst the early days of the pandemic and the quietening of the world soundscape.

Since then people all over the world have become more attuned to the sounds of wildlife on their doorstep. I'm taking this opportunity to revisit the concept of making one-minute field recordings for every day in June. Short audio clips, deep with memories, it's a chance to reconnect to everyday spaces through listening.

Expect to hear birds, insects, water beetles, soil recordings, and aquatic plants. I'm looking forward to sharing how previously featured locations have altered over time.

I'll be uploading tracks throughout the month, so please do revisit the album page for regular updates.

Thanks for listening.
David
