In this recording you hear the distant sound of a bugle playing God Save The Queen. My microphones were placed in nearby woodland during an artist residency that took place over the long weekend of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, 2022.

Eerily, a crow, symbolically a mediator between life and death, caws at the end of the tune.

The tracks's first airing took place on the day of Her Majesty's death, 8th September 2022 during an installation at Durlston Castle, Devon.
